Strawberry Tea

Sat 14th July

Following a dreadful rainy day on the Friday, Saturday morning dawned much brighter and it was decided to risk holding our now annual Strawberry Tea outside on the front lawn, as intended, rather than in the Church Hall. The gazebos were erected, the stalls were set up, the weather held out and a successful and enjoyable afternoon was spent in the fresh air.

The well attended event winessed a commemorative tree planting by Edgar Sawer to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. He was ably assisted by Harry Leedham and Ethan Wilde, both two and a half years old, who enjoyed lending a hand before moving on to place their bets on Pinky, Perky, Porky or Gammon at the piggy racing stall !

Supporters will be pleased to know that the event raised over £500 towards church funds. Many thanks to everyone involved.
